COLLECTIVE IMPACT
Collective Impact
Collective Impact is the commitment of a group of actors from different sectors to a common agenda for solving a complex social problem.
The Broward Children’s Strategic Plan (BCSP) uses a Collective Impact approach, leveraging the Results-Based Accountability framework when it comes to its committees.
Collective Impact 1.0 focuses on six conditions to impact success: Management, Common Agenda, Shared Measurement, Mutually Reinforcing Activities, Continuous Communication, and a Backbone Organization. The BCSP committees share a common agenda of working towards five desired results of well-being for children and families in Broward County:
- Children live in stable and nurturing families
- Children are mentally and physically healthy
- Children are ready to succeed in school
- Children live in safe and supportive communities
- Young people successfully transition to adulthood
Collective Impact 3.0 is the next phase, which includes: Movement Building, Community Aspiration, Strategic Learning, High Leverage Activities, Inclusive Community Engagement, and Containers for Change.
